Choosing the right meal plan is the single most important decision in your Cibo Diet journey. Too few meals and you may not hit your protein targets. Too many and you overspend without extra benefit.
The question is not which plan is best. It is which plan matches how you actually eat, train and work. Here is how to decide.
Start With How Many Meals You Currently Get Right
Be honest rather than aspirational. Count the meals in a normal week that you would describe as properly balanced and correctly portioned. Most people who are about to start a plan land somewhere between four and eight out of twenty one.
Your plan should cover the meals you consistently get wrong, not the ones you already handle. Paying to replace a breakfast you already cook well is money spent for no gain.
Plans 1-2: Light Start
If you already cook healthy meals at home and just want to add 1-2 macro-perfect meals per day, Plans 1 or 2 are ideal. These work well as breakfast replacement or post-workout meals.
This is also the sensible entry point if you have never used a meal plan before. It answers the important questions, whether you like the food and whether delivery fits your day, without committing to full coverage.
Best suited to: people who cook, people with unpredictable evening plans, and anyone testing the service for the first time.
Plans 3-4: Full Program
Most people get the best results from Plans 3 or 4. These cover your main meals across the day and provide the consistency needed for real body composition changes.
This is the range where fat loss and muscle gain actually happen, because it is the point at which your protein target is met every day rather than on good days. Three to four meals also spreads protein across the day, which matters more than total protein alone.
Best suited to: anyone with a specific physique goal, people working long hours, and anyone who has previously started and abandoned a plan.
Plans 5-6: Elite
For serious athletes with high daily calorie needs, Plans 5 or 6 provide full-day coverage with 5-6 meals.
Five or six feeding points is difficult to manage while working full time, which is precisely why this range exists. If you are training twice a day, competing, or in a deliberate gaining phase, this is where the numbers become achievable.
Best suited to: competitive athletes, people in a structured bulking block, and anyone whose calorie requirement is genuinely high.
Then Choose Your Duration
Plans run over 16, 22, 26 or 30 days. Longer durations cost less per meal, but that only matters if you finish them.
If this is your first plan, start with 16 days. If you know the food suits you and your routine is stable, the longer durations are better value. You can see the full pricing grid on the meal plans page.
The Most Common Mistake
Choosing more meals than your week can absorb. A six meal plan that you eat four meals of is worse value than a four meal plan you finish, and it is the main reason people conclude that meal plans do not work for them.
Start one level below what you think you need. Moving up is easy.
